Terrilo looked up at him and for a second and for a second he thought she would clam up but then she began to speak, her voice shaking.
“I don't know Gavadiol. I don't have anything else you know. The Shadow Hunters destroyed my home and all I know. I decided to stay with you because you represented hope to me, Gavadiol. I didn't know you were a prince or anything but I felt safe with you.”
“But now that all these grand Aerithorians are here and you are a prince and so important and all, will you still care for me? Will you still remember me? I'm merely an acrobat. A woman. I have nothing to offer.”
And she started to cry.
Gavadiol's heart clenched. He slowly walked up to his friend and pulled her into his arms.
“Terrilo, you gave me something I have never had in my life. Friendship. Do you think I will ever forget that? I cannot. Trust me. And what's all these talk about being a woman? I'm sorry if I didn't take your request seriously enough. You're already a first class acroba
