Third Person's POV
Scarlett happened to see the stationed warriors that Lucien had commanded to watch every part of the place and, if someone or something unfamiliar arrived, to kill it directly. She knew that Lucien had doubled the patrol and guarded the ceremonial ground—after all, the woman they met yesterday had said she would come back to take her by force if she struggled. This had made Lucien grow more alert.
She looked at Lucien, who was gazing at her tenderly, his eyes filled with encouragement as if he were saying that it was all right. This warmed her heart, but despite that, her hands trembled as she reached for him. Her throat tightened when she remembered the ugly scar she had on the back of her neck—it was an old mark on her nape that she had dissolved, and now she was about to have another one.
