Henry and I were standing 20 yards apart.
But even from this distance, I could clearly see his clenched jaw. He was clenching so hard it looked as though his teeth might shatter from the force.
With the vicious expression on his face and the cold indifference in his eyes, he no longer resembled the young man I once knew.
After I finished speaking, there was a brief silence. Then, the room exploded into chaos.
The reporters swarmed Henry even more aggressively—even the hospital security team couldn't hold them back. They crowded around him, bombarding him with questions relentlessly.
"Did you ignore your wife and unborn child because you were having an affair?"
"Did you try to use the car accident to kill your wife because of your affair?"
Henry's face grew paler by the second under the barrage of questions. He pressed his lips together.
Things had already spiraled far beyond his control. He never expected our personal marital problems to escalate to this point.
