“Who told Mullwica’s foster father about the identity of her son?” I asked, the weight of the question pressing on my chest.
“I don’t know either, Your Highness,” Cage admitted, his voice steady but somber. “The legend only refers to ‘a demon.’ Unlike the parts that explicitly mention Azazel, this one remains vague.”
“You’re familiar with Azazel?” I pressed.
“Yes,” he replied without hesitation. “As a descendant of the bloodline tied to these events, I’ve been taught more details than what’s commonly known.”
