Chapter 254: A Dialogue with the Self
**Thelma Zane’s POV:**
The weather today was flawless, though, to be fair, it always seemed to be here. The sky was dotted with just the right number of white clouds, wrapped in a pale halo. A gentle breeze whispered through the air, clear and invigorating. Everything about this place was serene, and I relished every moment of it. I would often find myself lying on the grass, on the shore, or in the shallow stream, letting the wind and water comb through my hair. These were moments of pure, unadulterated freedom. I would sleep soundly for days on end, then awaken to race across the expansive wilderness.
The stream beside me mirrored my reflection, its light scattering my hair and wings into a soft, ethereal glow. Occasionally, moths would come to play, their delicate wings brushing against the air around me. But they were fleeting companions, cold and elusive. They often disappeared into the clouds before I could pounce and join in their flight.
Why were they always in such a hurry?
