Chapter 141 Remarry with Me
Frank's face suddenly turned cold because he had been working day and night for these past few days. Every day, he was on the road negotiating contracts, just to earn more money and pay it back to Loy.
He really hadn't expected that, in these years of marriage, Loy had given him so much money.
No wonder he felt that the company had been running much more smoothly since they got married. At that time, he thought it was because of his abilities, never realizing it was because of Loy's support.
Now that Loy had left again, his company had reverted to its previous state from a few years ago, with no progress at all, and even regressing.
He was feeling really annoyed now, encountering the person who hurt him the most at his lowest point.
Frank looked at Loy with gentle eyes. "Is it really impossible between us?"
Loy couldn't help but give him a sideways glance, speaking seriously, "Since I left you, I've come to realize that you can't really be considered a man. There are so many good men in this world, and they are all better than you. I don't know what I was looking for in you all these years. My new boyfriend is much better than you, and I've experienced feelings I never had before."
Frank was stunned. He hadn't expected Loy to have a boyfriend so soon?
They had just divorced, how could she have forgotten about him so quickly?
At least he had been relatively good to her these past few years. How could she forget him so quickly?
When Frank saw Loy, he still thought that after so long, Loy would have calmed down and would forgive him. He didn't expect to hear such words from her.
She not only provoked him but also said he wasn't even a man?
Even if he wasn't performing well in that aspect, she shouldn't say it in front of so many people.
Frank felt that his dignity as a man was being trampled on, but he couldn't say a word of retort.
Frank's expression became even uglier. "You have a boyfriend now? When did that happen?"
"It's none of your business, is it?" she said with a smile.
After thinking for a moment, Frank said seriously, "Well, if that's the case, I wish you happiness. When you're dating those people, you should be careful. Not all men are..."
Loy interrupted him angrily, "But isn't cheating on your spouse worse? I haven't seen many men as disgusting as you. Accusing your ex-wife of cheating, perhaps only you could do such a thing. With these two things hanging over you, it will be hard for you to find someone to marry in the future. And your body... tsk tsk... I guess no woman really wants to be with you."
Frank tried to be patient, but still couldn't let it go, "If you're done playing around outside, remember to come back to me. We can remarry."
Loy laughed as if she had heard a great joke.
"Where do you get the confidence to think I would still be with you? It's the same pit, do you really think I would jump in twice? Even if it were you, you wouldn't, no one is that foolish."
"But I really love you."
Loy rolled her eyes, "Your love is worthless."
Seeing Frank in such a sorry state, Loy couldn't help but soften her tone a bit. "You'd better focus on making money and try to pay me back as soon as possible, or find another sugar mommy to bail you out again. But those women also like strong men, and you're not strong enough for them, so you better save yourself the trouble in that department!"
As Loy spoke more harshly, Frank's face darkened. "Loy, you don't have to remarry me, but you can't humiliate me like this."
Loy found it even more amusing, "But, didn't you think about humiliating me when you cheated? I just said a few words and you couldn't take it."
The two of them were having a heated argument, and the others nearby were enjoying the show, with no intention of interrupting.
Human nature is to enjoy spectating, and that's absolutely true.
Frank sighed, "I'm telling the truth. I know you might not believe me, but since those things are in the past, there's no need for us to keep entangling ourselves. It's getting late now, I have to go home and rest after dinner. You guys should go back first."
Loy rolled her eyes again. She really hated Frank's familiar tone with her. They were already divorced, why did he still act like they were in their previous roles?
"Thanks for your concern, but you don't need to worry about these things."
Frank was taken aback for a moment and said, "Okay, goodbye."
"You didn't need to argue with him so much just now. Talking to someone like him is just a waste of time," Sophia said helplessly.
Loy stubbornly replied, "No, I have to let out my grievances. He disgusted me for so long, why can't I say a few words to provoke him?"
Charlotte looked at her with great admiration. "You just delivered a double kill to him just now. He definitely won't sleep well tonight."
Loy said disdainfully, "The key is, it's the truth. I can't help it if people can't take it."
"It's indeed the truth. You're really amazing," Charlotte said with a smile.
As they were about to go downstairs, Loy saw a new dessert shop at the corner and her eyes lit up. "I want to buy something there, do you want to go together?"
Charlotte looked at her. "Can you still eat?"
Loy coughed tactically. "Can I save it for tomorrow? If I don't have time to buy it tomorrow, I won't be able to eat it, so I have to buy some to take home."
Sophia, who had the most experience in this matter, said, "Buying these things back now won't last until tomorrow morning."
Loy suddenly felt a little guilty because her thoughts had been read. But she pretended not to hear and walked slowly towards the dessert shop.
Charlotte gave her a half-smiling smile. "Forget it, let's go with her and see if there's anything you like."
"That's fine."
The three of them looked at the exquisite desserts and wanted to try every one of them.
Even if they couldn't finish them, it would still be pleasing to the eye to have them at home.
"Could you help us carry some of these?" Charlotte said directly.
Sophia looked at the things she picked out and said, "Isn't it a bit too much?"
"Our family is big, if we buy too little, neither of us can eat it," Charlotte said calmly.
Sophia was stunned for a moment, then smiled, "You're right."
