Chapter 125 Advise You to Think Clearly
Lun looked at the man sitting paralyzed on the ground. If it weren't for the children, he really wanted to kill him.
Feeling a bit better, Charlotte wanted Lun to take her downstairs to see her family.
"I want to go down and see them, ask them why they treated me like this."
Lun responded lightly, "Alright, I'll take you."
As the two went downstairs, Bill and Martina Freya were kneeling in a sorry state.
Martina, upon seeing Charlotte, wanted to rush over angrily, but she was restrained by the people around her, unable to move.
"Charlotte, are you satisfied now? I've never seen a daughter who could do such things to her parents. If I had known earlier, we shouldn't have kept you around. We should have thrown you into an orphanage long ago. Raising a white-eyed wolf like you is worse than nothing!"
Charlotte, knowing the whereabouts of her children, felt less nervous. She showed a proud smile to Martina, "When you were doing these things to me, you should have thought about the consequences. How come after living in this world for so many years, your brain is still not enough?"
A hint of anger flashed in Bill's eyes, "You're really my good daughter. I should have listened to your mother and thrown you away. Why did I keep this disaster around?"
Martina looked uncomfortable, "Sister, it's all my fault. If there's anything wrong, come to me. Our parents are old, you can't treat them like this."
"Freya, do I still need to point out the ugly things you've done?"
"And you," Charlotte mocked, "Bill, my mother has been dead for a long time. The woman beside you is just a lowly woman. Do you really want her to be my mother? Let her dream on!"
Freya bit her lip. She really didn't want to give up her current career. She had suffered so much to get to where she was now. How could she not resent Charlotte for ruining everything with just a few words?
But now, she could only kneel down and beg her.
As long as Charlotte spared them, she still had a chance to make a comeback!
Freya softened her tone, her pleading attitude obvious, "Sister, I admit it's all my fault. But I know my mistakes now. You have to give me another chance. I'm still young, and there's still a long way to go in the future. Can you really bear to see me live like a ghost in the future?"
Charlotte looked down at her condescendingly, "Your life has nothing to do with me. You reap what you sow. Actually, you already had a good future, but you were not satisfied with the status quo. Now, you even kidnapped my children. You are really unreasonable!"
"If it weren't for the fact that we're still family, I would have sent you all in already!"
Martina reached out to shake Bill's arm, "Honey, think of a solution. Are you going to let him ride roughshod over us?"
At this moment, Bill seemed to be somewhat sober. He turned and slapped Martina, "Shut up! Do you think things aren't chaotic enough now? If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have done such things. If I really fell from grace because of you, you wouldn't have a good life either!"
Freya was driven crazy at the thought of living an ordinary life. From childhood to adulthood, she had never suffered any grievances. Whatever she wanted, no one dared to compete with her.
But now, the thought of living like a commoner drove her almost insane.
She had never been wronged, but Charlotte had repeatedly opposed her, even taking away Lun, who should have belonged to her.
Now seeing Charlotte living so well, Freya wished she could tear her to pieces on the spot!
Seeing that their lives were in danger, Bill still didn't forget about his property.
It was too late for her to realize.
Bill had always been a profit-seeker, only caring about his own interests and ignoring the lives of others.
At this moment, Charlotte was extremely disappointed with this family. She couldn't imagine that her father, who was related to her by blood, could do such things.
Sometimes she envied Freya. No matter how big a mistake she made, her parents would always bail her out.
But she didn't have that.
Whatever happened, Charlotte could only rely on herself.
Even though they were family, the difference was still incomparable.
Feeling a bit overwhelmed due to her recent recovery, Charlotte decided not to argue with them anymore and went to rest on the sofa.
Lun stayed by her side, afraid that she would blame herself too much for tonight's events.
He asked if there was anything uncomfortable about her body?
All of Freya's envy was seen by Freya, making her jealousy even deeper.
Lun answered the phone, "Alright, I got it. You guys take the children home first, make sure they're safe, and then call the doctor to see if they're injured. We'll be back soon."
Charlotte asked worriedly, "Have they found the children?"
Lun nodded, "They're in that villa. My men said they found them already asleep when they arrived."
Charlotte looked at Lun with a complicated expression, "It's all my fault. If I had been more careful, this wouldn't have happened."
Lun kissed her gently on the forehead, "You shouldn't blame yourself too much. These things weren't your fault."
Lun knew Charlotte must be feeling extremely upset, but he could only softly comfort her for now. This incident must have caused her quite a bit of psychological trauma.
It seemed that in the future, he would have to arrange for more people to watch over the children at the kindergarten.
This incident had also scared Lun quite a bit.
After a while, he said lightly, "Bill, I don't want to dwell on what happened before, but this time you really crossed my bottom line."
Usually, he could ignore the things against him, but touching his children was absolutely unforgivable.
Lun's tone was calm, as if he was chatting casually, but his face was terrifyingly cold, "I'll leave these people to watch over you all. Tomorrow, when I come to deal with you, we'll settle the score properly."
Thinking of his years of effort being turned into nothing, Bill was about to despair, "Lun, things don't have to be so extreme. Anyway, I'm still Charlotte's father."
Lun's eyes narrowed slightly, feeling disgusted by what he said. How could he still dare to mention these things at this point?
