"Serena, what kind of attitude is that? I'm your supervisor!"
His voice was sharp, echoing across the office. Heads were already turning.
"I'm telling the truth," I shot back, my tone flat and cold. At this point, I didn't care about the consequences. My anger burned too hot.
"You don't want to keep your job, do you?" His eyes narrowed, his voice dropping to a low, deliberate threat.
