Asher The loud blaring ringtone of my phone jolts me up rather next morning. Cursing under my breathe, I reached out for my phone half-asleep. "Hello?" "Asher, why didn't you tell me you came in last night?" Mom's voice echoed through the speaker with a worried tone. "I would have picked you up at the airport" "I'm not a kid, mom and I got home just fine" Springing up from my bed, I moved to the bathroom to wash my face. "How did you know I was back?" "Our house has been empty since Whitt was sent to boarding school, Asher" Mom explains. "So when people start calling me and insisting my house had been broken into, it doesn't take me long to put the pieces together" I chuckled. "How's things with Fredinard?" "Everything's great. Would you be opening up your new hospital today?" "I don't think so. I'm still feeling a bit jet-lagged" Plus, I want to have fun teasing Alena a little longer.
