Kai’s POV
I saw Ty’s majestic dragon for the first time and for a moment my heart stopped beating when I watched his wolf fall from the cliff towards the volcanic lava base below.
I thought for a moment that I had lost him for life and an involuntary howl of pain escaped from my wolf.
It proved to be a blunderous move because, as soon as Ty’s beautiful dragon form flew away in the fire coloured sky, I sensed unwanted presences behind me.
That stinking smell meant only one thing- ROGUES!
Shit.
The last thing that I needed after my mate’s wordless rejection was a gruesome war with an army of fucking rogue wolves.
Where the hell did so many rogue wolves come from and why didn’t the scouts and trackers not detect them yet.
I was cornered at the edge of the cliff and in front of me stood at least fifty strong rogues.
I was surely at a disadvantageous position and the dangerously wolfsbane poisoned claws were adding to my worries.
