♡ Lauren’s POV ♡ I limped along with him, feeling cold the last time I swam. The water had been trickling out of my clothes, wetting them all and sticking uncomfortably to my skin. When I'm tired of walking, I blow my top. My toes still hurt. I really want Magee to carry me. "You know you can help a girl here, my toe is killing me. I'm tired of limping, and you owe me. Because we're friends now.” I told him he couldn't believe it. I was desperate. "Let me see.” He tapped his chin with his index finger as if to think.” Nope! ” "I thought we were friends. Wow, you're off to a bad start for us being friends.” I scolded. "I'm a bad friend because I don't want to carry your heavy ass? ""He asked, pretending to be shocked. "How dare you! I'm not heavy! ” I spat angrily. He only laughed, and I gnashed my teeth in anger. Is that what being his friend is all about? Until I just wanted to kick him off the mountain. "If you don't hug me, I'll stay here.” I sat panting on the ground, crossed my arms and pouted like a child. He walked past me and I restrained myself from throwing a rock at his head. He shook his head at me and turned around with a smile. "You know you're really stubborn.” He said. "Thank you.” I laughed sarcastically. "There are snakes and bears.” He said. "Nice try, but it doesn't faze me.” I said haughtily. But deep down, when I heard the word "snake," I almost crapped in my pants. I've seen anacondas, and it didn't end well. "Well, I'll let you look after yourself.” He started walking away again without once looking at me. "Wow, this is really my best friend.” I snorted, trying not to care. Oh, my God, please turn back! "Oh, come on.” He turned and bent down so I could lean against his back. 'Yes! I said happily. I got off the ground, limped over to him, stood behind him and hugged him tightly. We had been walking for ten minutes when I suddenly heard something moving in the bushes and I became suspicious. As the sound got closer, I began to panic. I held Magee tight, closed my eyes and said a prayer in my head. "Magee, we're going to die.” I mumbled. I felt something crawl out. "Lauren, you're exaggerating. That's okay.” He comforted me. "Snakes, rats, spiders. . .” I continued to shout in consternation. "Rats, spiders? Wow, I'm shaking with fear.” "He replied sarcastically. We hear a little growl and Magee stops. "Look, I told you we have something here. What if it's Annabel? "I whispered and looked around at the landscape. "Lauren, are you serious? Annabel? Baby, I don't think Annabel will roar.” "He laughed. "Yes, she can. I saw it in their recent release.” I replied that I was afraid it was actually an evil doll. "Anyway, that's a movie, Lauren, that's not true.” He tried to put me at ease. "You can think of it this way. But if you must know, some horror movies are based on true stories.” I claimed and held him tight. The roar stopped and a dog came out. It looked like it was starving. Damn, mother of Jesus, please save us from this beast. It was growling fiercely and closing in on us. Magee tensed up and grabbed me tight. When the fierce dog approached, I closed my eyes and waited to be eaten. But I was relieved when I heard him whimpering away. I opened my eyes to find what could save us. That's Magee's foot. "What did you do to that poor dog? "I asked, puzzled. "That poor dog wanted to eat our ass for dinner, so I kicked him.” He shrugged his shoulders with indifference. "Will you stop pretending you're not scared.” I said angrily. "No, not really. I'm the one who saved us.” "He affirmed. I rolled my eyes at his haughty tone.” Wow, you're a hero.” I said sarcastically. He didn't recognize my sarcasm and kept walking. We went to the motorcycle and he gently put me down. He reached for his helmet, gave me one, and jumped on his motorcycle. I put on my helmet, hugged him, and got in the car. He started his motorcycle and drove away from there. Thirty minutes later we arrived at school. There was no one outside because the class was still going on. I got out and gave him back his extra helmet. I cleared my throat and looked down. "Well, it was fun today. . . Yes, goodbye! ” I said, not knowing what to say. I tried to walk quickly towards the building, but he stopped me. "Yes. See you tomorrow, for that project.” He said. 'Yes, of course! I rushed out and ran up the stairs to my dormitory. I could hear him laughing slightly behind me. Entering the room, I slid down and sat on the floor, leaning my back against the door. I haven't really come to terms with what happened earlier. From groping and moaning to almost being eaten by a dog. I don't know what made me do that. I even let Magee touch me like that. This is because you like him better than a friend, and always do. This was true, although AFTER all the bullying, I always had a feeling of uncertainty about him. Since I found out what caused him to bully me, I'm more miserable now. I was sure we would never be together, that his parents would never accept me. Magee wouldn't want to have a relationship with me. I was saddened by my thoughts. I got up to change before I caught a cold from all those wet clothes. It was amazing how clean the room looked and the vomit was nowhere to be seen. Vicky must have come in to clean up. I heard the door swing open and then footsteps come in. "Where have you been, you little slut? "Vicky asks rudely as a new guy follows her like a puppy.
