Katelyn’s POV Rachel and I walked ahead after dropping off the invitations at the reception desk. The tapping of our heels echoed against the marble floor. Rachel nudged me with her elbow, eyes gleaming. “Did you hear that? They didn’t even recognize you.” I smiled, “Let’s see how long that lasts.” We continued forward. My pace was steady, head held high. The chandelier above the hotel lobby reflected in the polished floors beneath our feet. The entire place smelled of expensive perfume and luxury. It was the kind of event that demanded presence—and I intended to give them one they’d never forget. Alpha Jasper was the host tonight. His standing was just under Ethan’s, and naturally, nearly every influential president  and their families were present.
