　　Derek looked down at the battered man, his voice a gravelly rasp. "I can't do that. I'm sorry. I know you hate me, Lucian, but Randall is gone. No one can bring him back to life." 　　"Then stop the act!" Lucian snapped his head up, eyes flickering with a dying amber light. "Just kill me and get it over with. Winner takes all—that's the law of the pack." 　　Derek shook his head slowly. "You're Randall's twin. I'm not hurting you. My claws don't draw the blood of my own kin." 　　Lucian let out a jagged laugh, blood staining his teeth. "You killed my brother, and now you want to talk about family?" 　　"Lucian, we're in the same pack. We were born brothers." 　　"And yet you're the reason he's dead!" Lucian let out a low, guttural growl before collapsing back, closing his eyes. He couldn't stand the sight of the man standing there. 　　Derek wasn't surprised. His expression remained cold, almost detached. "If you stay here, then you're a dead man. I'm taking you out of here." 　　"Don't touch me!"
