DEVON’S POV I watched her enter her room and close the door behind her. I stood by her door for minutes, hoping she would come out again even though I knew she wouldn’t. I stared at the door until my legs ached and I let out a deep breath, turned around and left. I returned to my room where I saw Kaden playing with Dennis and Abel. “Dad!” He called the moment he saw me and rushed into my arms.
