The morning mist swirled like ghostly tendrils around the advancing warriors as I stood beside Alexander on the steps of the pack house.
My heart thundered against my ribs, the bond between us vibrating with tension as Lucien's forces moved with predatory grace across our territory.
"He's completely lost his mind," I whispered, noting the fanatical gleam in Lucien's eyes even from this distance.
