“I tried to bring Victoria but Alysia came to her rescue and both of them escaped. I’m sorry I wasn’t able to do anything.” Sarah explained quietly and my hold on the glass tightened.
“Why! Why didn’t you bring both of them! Is Alysia now more powerful than you?” I thundered.
I smashed the wine glass on the ground, my gaze clouded with anger and she flinched, taking a step back with fear. She began trembling, her hands shaking as she held the hem of her dress tightly.
She was scared. I had made her angry and I didn’t like that.
I softened instantly as I flashed her my most charming and appealing smile.
“I’m so sorry for letting my emotions get the best of me.” I apologized and she nodded, melting softly like a kitten who was being patted.
“I’m sorry… It was just out of frustration… You understand, right? I’m tired of wasting time, the earlier they’re caught, the better.” I whispered.
