(Emma's POV) I heard Erik hang up his phone before he bent down and extended his hand toward me. I stared at it for a moment, suddenly aware of how ridiculous this situation was. A nervous giggle escaped my lips as I placed my cold hand in his warm one. "Thank you," I mumbled as he spread his legs slightly to make room for me to stand up.
