Chapter 267
Bedroom.
Madeleine was sneaking around the window, peeking out from behind the curtains, only her head sticking out.
At first, she couldn't quite catch what was being yelled downstairs—her left ear still wasn't working, after all.
But once she leaned out to listen, it became clear—someone was calling her name… and Beckett's too.
Just then, Beckett walked out from the bathroom and caught sight of his little wife in pajamas, bent over with just her waist, butt, and those long, slender legs showing from behind the curtain.
He raised an eyebrow, curious about what she was up to.
As he walked over, he finally caught the wailing from downstairs.
"What are you looking at?" Beckett asked, wrapping his arms around Madeleine from behind and pulling her into his chest.
She flinched, startled, and looked up at him nervously. "I… I think it's Clinton down there. He's wasted and shouting... even throwing bottles."
Beckett narrowed his eyes dangerously and shot a glance outside.
