A few hours later, the plane landed in Lunavras.
Alex caught sight of his family waiting for him at the gate as soon as he got off the plane, so he hurried toward them.
Even from far away, Clara had already seen the bandage around Alex's hand. She immediately went up to him and took his suitcase from him with pity in her eyes.
"Why are you also hurt? And why didn't you tell us?"
Alex's parents, Fred Foster and Marie Lovelace, saw the bandage too. Their faces fell as they immediately checked on his injury.
"Does it hurt? You should have told us that you'd been injured! We could have just brought you back instead."
"This must be a very bad injury for you to have bandaged it up so tightly like this. Let's go straight to the hospital. We'll forget about dinner for the time being."
