For the following half a month, Ronaim hadn't seen Nathan. After three years of marriage, it was common that they hadn't seen each other for a couple of months. And she had been used to this. "Ronaim, look, that's the second leading actress selected lately." The assistant Sean was pointing to a person not far away. Ronaim looked in the direction that Sean pointed and found that it was Karen. "Are you surprised to see me," Karen said, swaggering over with her arms around her chest. Ronaim stood up, and she was half a head taller than Karen. She was expressionless, didn't say anything and just stared at the woman in front of her coldly. Karen flipped her long hair back and raised her chin. "Nathan made me the second leading actress in order to piss you off. Ronaim, if you have some senses, get divorced from Nathan, otherwise don't blame me for what I would do." "Nathan really knows you. He gives the right role to the right person," Ronaim said sarcastically, "A mistress is asked to play the second leading actress.I'm sure this show is going to be hot. It's like reality Show." Karen was so angry that she raised her hand and gave a fierce slap on Ronaim's face. "Don't think you're so great just because you are the first leading actress!" Ronaim was caught off guard. She did not expect that Karen would slap her in public. She guessed that Karen had used all her strength, as her teeth bit into the flesh inside her cheek when her palm hit her face. Instantly, she tasted the blood in her mouth. Karen's eyes flashed with malice. "Let me tell you, this play is invested by Nathan. I can replace you at any time." "You're dreaming!" Ronaim's eyes were chilly. "An unknown actress is daydreaming to be the leading role?" "See if I am daydreaming or not..." Karen said and raised her hand again. This time Ronaim had been prepared. She grabbed Karen's wrist and gave her a slap on the face with the other hand. Karen's head was pushed to the left by the force. She was furious and jumped up to hit back. Suddenly she caught sight of a figure approaching quickly with the corners of her eyes. She changed to squat down on the ground, with one hand covering her cheek, the other hand holding her chest, pleading, "Ronaim, if I did something wrong, you can tell me. Why would you hit me? I just got out of the hospital. I'm not feeling well..." As she pretended to cough, she continued, "Please stop hitting me, I will learn the acting skill from you. I promise I won't be a drag of the cast..." A perfect switch from arrogance to grievance within one second. Ronaim couldn't help but admire Karen's acting skill. She looked up and saw Nathan coming over with a gloomy face. "Karen, are you okay?" Nathan bent down worriedly and helped Karen up. Karen leaned against Nathan's chest feebly and said with a weak voice, "Nathan, my liver...hurt so much..." Nathan's face was cold and appalling. He approached Ronaim slowly, raise his hand, and gave her a slap. A crowd had already gathered around when the number one and number two actresses were fighting. Now Nathan's thunderous slap brought the director of the show coming from the distance. Ronaim's assistant Sean said cautiously, "Mr. Shaw, Karen started it …" But his sentence of defense faded away under Nathan's cold glance. Ronaim's head was buzzing, but her eyes met Nathan's without flinching. She was his wife, but he beat her for another woman. Nathan just glared at her coldly. Her amber color eyes revealed her stubborn and unyielding character. The handprint on her face looked shocking, especially in contrast to her pale and tender skin. Though her cheek was red and swollen, her beauty wasn't compromised a tiny bit. For reason he didn't understand, Nathan's heart lurched, and he dared not ponder about it. He turned to hold Karen steady while she was too weak to support herself. "Ronaim, if anything happens to Karen, I won't let you go! " Snapped Nathan, and then carried up Karen and hurried to the hospital. Ronaim flopped down onto the ground, feeling her cheeks burning.
