When Selena heard that Nadia had tried to seduce Elijah, her curiosity spiked. She pressed Wendy for details, but Wendy only knew what Selena had vaguely mentioned before. She could only repeat the gist of it. The more Selena listened, the more Nadia amused her. Selena eventually drank too much, so Wendy hauled her home. Elijah had waited for her, but Selena wasn't grateful at all. When she woke up the next morning, she still remembered everything Wendy told her about Nadia and Elijah. Elijah walked into the dining room and found Selena in the kitchen. Seeing Selena cook wasn't unusual to him anymore, but the spread of green on the table stopped him in his tracks. Selena had gotten up early to prepare breakfast for everyone, but the dishes were nothing but a bitter salad, a vegetable-laden omelet, and some vegetable juice.
