Accepted to Wade's Uni

LESLIE’S POV I watched as something unspoken passed between Brandon and Wade. I could feel the tension from here. I always knew that there was something up with them. I just didn’t know what but, it seemed that it involved Wade’s mother— Hikari. “Thank you so much for dinner, mom,” I said, breaking the silence. I stood to my feet and grabbed my plate, stopping to kiss my mother’s hair. “You owe me a game, Brandon.” I glared at him with mock anger earning a laugh from him. “Sure, sure,” he patted my arm as I left. “ Whenever you’re ready.” I sailed up the stairs as quickly as I could. I didn’t want to run into Wade in the hallway. I had heard him stand from his seat a few seconds after I did. I didn’t want us to bicker or for him to say something that would cause my insides to warm up. I was trying to get over him. For six weeks. Six weeks of reminding myself that Wade was my step brother. Six weeks of believing that what I felt was a crush and it would go away when he was gone.
