LESLIE’S POV “That’s weird. Who could it have been?” I asked. “Who cares? I’m just glad the air’s been cleared, Leslie. I could hardly sleep,” Adrian said, dropping a kiss on my lips. I forced myself to smile and reciprocate the affection that he was giving me. I liked that we had gotten past flirty and he was seeing me as someone that he could be with. This was the progress I wanted. I wasn’t going to let my worries ruin it. “I’m sorry for how I treated you yesterday. It wasn’t fair to accuse you that way,” I said, trying to make my face show how sorry I was. Adrian kissed me again. “It’s fine, really. It was my fault for not making everything clear and causing misunderstanding. I like what we have going and I want it to be a little bit more.
