Ever since Albert found out that Adonis hadn't run away from home but had moved abroad permanently, he wore a constant frown on his face.
When Adonis was still around, he would always help smooth things over when the house help made mistakes. As soon as he stepped in, Meredith would let things slide no matter how severe the blunder was.
But now that he was gone, the staff was left to bear the brunt of Meredith's wrath.
For reasons no one could understand, Meredith hadn't just been in a gloomy mood these past few days—she'd been nitpicking over the most minor things.
