Aria's POV Vivian looked like she'd been physically slapped, her face draining of color. "You're lying," she whispered, her voice a reedy gasp. "I'm not," Aiden replied calmly, his gaze never leaving hers. "And the fact that you thought you could come into our home and speak to my wife this way shows how little you actually know me. Or her." He turned to Owen, his command unmistakable. "Get your sister out of here. Now. Our lawyers will be in touch." Owen, looking thoroughly defeated, his shoulders slumped, took Vivian's arm and practically dragged her toward the door. She kept glancing back, a desperate, almost pathetic look on her face, as if waiting for Aiden to relent, to change his mind. When the heavy door finally closed behind them, I turned to face Aiden, my mind reeling, my heart pounding a furious, excited rhythm. "Ten years?"
