Chapter 4
That was what I was known for all of high school. The flowers had permanently permeated my body, causing me to carry the scent with me everywhere I went - not that I was complaining. I'd come to discover that flowers were something I was extremely good at, and it quickly became my passion. The thrill of coming up with the perfect combination of a focal flower with it's surrounding accents was like a drug to me. The bright, beautiful colors added joy to my life that made me forget all about my father's painful abandonment when I was six.
Though flowers weren't miracle workers, and there were those days when I would get caught up in my thoughts. They were usually brought on by one of our many regulars coming in for an arrangement just to ensure they would be getting laid after their date was said and done. Every one of them had the exact same qualities; smooth-shaven face, perfectly styled hair, crisp dress shirt paired with a meticulously chosen tie, an expensive wristwatch
