Chapter 7271

Beresford could understand just how terrifying Harvey was, but Micah knew all too well just how terrifying the living legend could be. He would rather cross the entire Knights Templar than Harvey. So, without much hesitation, Micah snapped Beresford's wrist. Argh! Beresford let out a blood-curdling scream. He never imagined Micah would do something like that to him. Crack! Before he could even finish screaming, Micah had already grabbed his right leg and twisted it again. Another agonized shriek echoed as Beresford writhed on the floor, squealing and screaming. What happened was enough to daze everyone in the room. Some even slapped themselves just to make sure they weren't dreaming. No one could have predicted that someone like Beresford would have his arm and leg snapped within a single day of arriving in Grand City. If this news made it back to Lost City, it would cause an uproar. Before anyone could recover, Micah knelt again and said in a whisper, "Mr. Representative, what happened tonight is all our fault. As per your orders, I have broken his arm and leg. I hope that this is enough as an explanation." Harvey remained expressionless and replied coldly, "Not enough." Micah flinched. Then, he sprang up and started snapping the hands of Beresford's followers one by one with lightning speed. He did it so fast that it was clear he wasn't showing any mercy. Within a minute, everyone from Lost City was writing on the ground, their hands snapped. Finally, Micah even broke his own hands and once again knely before Harvey. There was no denying it. He was showing a lot of sincerity. While Harvey found this group from Lost City to be impatient, Micah's actions gave him no reason to escalate this anymore. "I wonder if this is sufficient, Mr. Representative?" Micah asked with a hoarse voice. Harvey stood up and grabbed Micah's hands. Then, he helped Micah by setting them in place. With a rare hint of approval, he said, "You understand right from wrong and timing. That's rare. You're an outlier among those from Lost City. I'll give you a chance… Come join me. What do you say?" Micah was slightly stunned. Then, he slowly shook his head. "I really want to accept your offer. However, I have my own duties right now. My employer kept me fed, so I must stay loyal to him. If I join you just because of your words… I'd never be able to live in peace, and you won't respect me either." Harvey smiled. "Alright. I won't force you. But when there comes a day when you have no place to turn to, my door's always open. One more thing. When you return, give this message to your superiors in the Knights Templar. Don't interfere with Grand City's business, because the city is my turf. I will kill anyone who interferes." Micah quickly nodded. "I understand." Harvey clapped his hands and said, "Then get the hell out of here." Micah nodded slightly. After hesitating a little, he said, "Mr. Representative, it's true that we're in the wrong tonight, but someone gave us a green light to act however we wanted. I believe someone as smart as you already knows who that person is." Then, Micah finally picked up the unconscious Beresford and left the room.
