Chapter 1161

The students broke into their respective training teams after Max gave his speech, while their instructors arrived at the training halls. Juno and her teammates were gathered around Kaiden, their instructor. Kaiden used to be one of the battle warriors of Wyvern Peak. He never had many big goals in life. He simply wanted to nurture talents for Wyvern Peak before retiring. This was his one and only wish before retirement. "Sir!" "Sir!" Hundreds of students stood in the training hall, filled with reluctance as they watched Kaiden walk toward them. They had been with him for more than a year and had received their fair share of reprimands and beatings from him. However, they all knew that he had done all those things for their own good. In truth, he had always taken care of them. "Fall in!" Kaiden ordered, and everyone instantly lined up. Juno and the other girls stood in line, quietly looking at Kaiden. He had both hands behind his back. Surprisingly, he did not seem as fierce as he usually was. "All of you have been under my tutelage for more than a year at least. During that period, I scolded and beat you. Now, you're all finally going to leave me." Nobody said a word, filled with extreme reluctance. Kaiden took a deep breath before he continued, "My brave tigers, dragons, eagles, and phoenixes… Previously, I said that you're the worst batch of students I've taught in my entire life. But today, I'd like to confess that you're all actually the best I've ever had." Everyone's eyes turned slightly red when they heard this. Kaiden's expression turned even gloomier as he said, "During my time with you all, I've been infuriated, but touched at the same time. You're all finally going to leave me, departing on your respective journeys. I'm going to miss you all." The words “I'm going to miss you all” brought tears to everyone's eyes. Kaiden found it difficult to control his emotions, wiping away a tear from the corner of his eye. "Right now, it seems as if a war is about to break out at the borders. I don't know who out of you will be able to stand here a year from now, but I hope that you'll all be here when that time comes. I want you to tell me what sort of hardships you've faced along the way and share with me your proudest moments. "Everyone, you’ll become Wyvern Peak's generals, strategists, managers, or even soldiers at the frontlines after leaving this place. Regardless, I hope that you don't give up on your will to live no matter how brutal the fight gets. I sincerely hope you'll all appear before me next year, alive and not a cold corpse, understand?" "We understand, sir," a few girls replied as they wiped away their tears. Kaiden nodded. "Wyvern Peak is a place that creates myths. It's the home of heroes and the most dangerous place at the same time. I've had high expectations for you during training because I want you all to survive the battlefield. I don't want to see any of you injured or dead. "Juno, step forward!" he commanded, and Juno walked out from the line and stood before Kaiden. Looking at her, Kaiden said, "You’re the latest addition to my team, but you're the most outstanding. Over the past year, I've seen many things that I thought were impossible become possible. You surprised me with just how much potential you have inside of you." "Thank you for teaching me over the past year, sir." Juno saluted. Kaiden then said, "You're War Legate Draco's sister, and you resemble him in many ways. I was also once his instructor who taught him for a year." "You taught Adrian as well, sir?" Juno asked.
