The Box Sophie Hides

Lilith Pov Sophie held the gift box like a child she wouldn’t let me touch. I inched closer, my face stern and my hand fixed on the box. She backed off a bit, then stopped by the door frame. The box was wrongly familiar. Same elegant color, same ribbon style, same size as Lucien’s gift box. The one he left me in front of the gift pile in my room. “Sophie… what’s that?
