Chapter 6 Three-day period
The reason why he didn't marry a woman was because the Hill family had only one child and wouldn't be willing to let James get married that would cause him trouble since she would inherited the property in the end. So they decided to make her a lover directly.
Shirley calmed down and said, "Grandma, I am the next heir and host of the White family, representing the dignity of our White family. So I cannot be an underground lover. Within three days, I will find a way to save my grandfather."
Her grandpa's surgery time was limited to four days, so she must make up for the surgery expenses within three days.
"If you can't do it within three days, go find the Hill family yourself"
Grandma White snorted in an indifferent manner and then went upstairs with her cane. She also knew that Shirley was a stubborn girl, and it was not good to put too much pressure on her. But if three days passed and she couldn't do it, then no one would blame her for doing it herself.
Shirley returned to her bedroom on the third floor and threw her whole body onto the huge bed, with her mind thinking nothing. In an instant, all her exhaustion seemed to be dissipated.
She rubbed her sore eyebrows and remembered what had happened today. Then she took out the golden postcard from her pocket and looked at the elegant and majestic font "Leon Stewart" on it.
So his name was Leon!
Shirley only thought for a moment before putting the postcard back in her pocket, then took out a key from the safe and went to grandpa's bedroom.
Opening the document safe in grandpa's study, she took out a document and stared at the signature on the document, nostalgia and sadness showed in her eyes.
After a while, a tear fell and Shirley wiped it away in a gentle manner, then she left with the document.
The next day, when Shirley went downstairs, she happened to see her uncle's family having a meal. Shirley didn't know when Maria came back. As she saw Shirley, she walked towards her happily, "Shirley, you're back. My mom has made some delicious food, sit down and eat with us!"
Shirley glanced at Maria with her cold eyes and a sarcastic curve at the corner of her mouth. Without saying a word, she walked towards the door.
Susan shouted at Grandma White on the second floor at once, "Mom, you see how this bitch treated Maria. Maria was so kind to Shirley, but she treated her like this, she still thinks herself a great woman. Grandpa White remained unconscious, but she doesn't save him. Look at her sullen face, she doesn't even have a facial expression..."
Shirley ignored Susan and said nothing. She left the house and drove from the basement to the Samite Mansion on Unique Street. A mansion with a long history was located here, with a refreshing and ancient style. Every scene and object here could touch people's hearts.
Staring at the green vines crawling up that full of vitality, Shirley approached the stone wall and didn't go in, she just watched outside in silence for half a day before driving to the hospital to visit her grandfather.
In the VIP suite, Shirley stared at her grandfather who was still sleeping, tears welled up in her eyes.
"Doctor, is my grandfather in good health?"
"Miss White, Grandpa White has been physically overworked in recent years and his condition is not very good. If he does not have surgery within four days, it will be really dangerous." Sighed Dr. Smith, who was wearing a white coat.
Shirley nodded, perhaps she should make a decision for grandpa's sake.
In the afternoon, Shirley had been waiting outside the building of the Scott Group, and the receptionist inside told her that Harold was not there.
She felt a bit sarcastic. She used to get in here just like got in her own home. But as expected, things were different and men's feelings were changeable.
