I came home late in the night when the night sky was pitch black with no stars in the sky visible for anyone to see. Not even the moon was out to greet me as I made my way back to Logan’s home. I tried my best to be as silent and quiet as possible, while I walk through the house, carrying my heels in my hands as I made my way back to my room.
When I passed the dining room table, I took notice of the discarded dinner that sits on top its surface. Guilt struck my heart, knowing that he must have stayed up waiting for me to come home. All I could feel is guilt and remorse over this small detail of Logan's kindness, and unspoken showcase of his affection towards me.
I tried my best to ignore the site of the cold food. The way he placed two of his porcelain plates beside each other at the table instead of sitting across the table like we wanted. I even take notice of the candles, the wax that spills over the side of the candlestick, the flames no longer ignited.
