Chapter 64
Aurora’s POV
I grabbed the last luggage and walked towards the window, feeling nostalgic. I had gotten used to the quarters, staying with Xavier and in the pack. Leaving felt wrong. I didn’t want to go, but Xavier’s mind was made up.
He was right, though. I wouldn’t survive with Jay and Jannie if I stayed. The attacks; everyone had been targeted at me and not him. If they had tried to get my mom and failed. I knew soon, they would attack again and would ensure someone died.
I shuddered, taking one final look at the room, and wrapped my hands around myself. It would be fine in the end. I had to just survive everything and not let Xavier down.
The driver collected the luggage, and I followed him to the living room. Xavier was carrying Jay while Mom was with Jannie.
“I think we are ready,” I said, walking towards the door.
“Hold on. We should have breakfast as a family before you leave.” He called, making me stop.
“Alright. That’s fine. Let’s eat.”
