Aurora’s POV
I nod and smile as people drop gifts for the babies and say a word of prayer for them. Xavier is quite protective of the babies and insists they stay in their trolley, and no one should carry them.
I'm excited about his behavior, but a part of me can't just shake off the feeling of guilt. However, looking at the arrangement that Xavier and other pack members had gone through just to throw a grand ceremony for the babies reduced the guilt. They did deserve the celebration and I wasn’t going to do anything that would make Xavier suspect something was up.
The babies were on their best behavior, too, but Xavier spent every second checking if they were crying or asleep. I couldn't help but smile at the lovely way he watched them. It was cute.
