Chapter 794 Met With A Car Accident
Nevertheless, the person was not going to let her off easily. Hence, he was not in a rush to leave even after she was run over.
He made a U-turn and accelerated towards her once again.
Watching as Jennie sprinted towards her in doddering footsteps like a madwoman, Vickie’s eyes alighted with a cold glint. She waited until there was a meter distance between her and the car before suddenly leaping, landing on top of the car hood in a thump.
Everyone was dumbstruck.
Even the person behind the wheel had quite a fright.
Despite playing out a million scenarios in his head, the driver would never imagine that he would fail to kill her after two attempts and here she was, climbing up his car hood.
The person was a little flustered but he quickly gathered himself. With his mind made up, the car swiftly drifted in an attempt to fling away the woman crouching on the hood.
However, this was Vickie.
Even though she was badly wounded, it was a do or die moment. She would face the fate of pulverization if she were thrown off the hood.
Despite her capabilities or how fast her legs could carry her, it was impossible to outrun a four-wheeled car.
Moreover, this car windshield was still intact after the multiple collision. Apart from a slight scratch on the hood, there was not even a dent. This was a custom car designed to run her over.
In such a situation, Vickie’s only choice was to do her utmost and not be flung if she wanted to live.
She desperately held onto the rear-view mirror of the car. Try as the person may in swerving, drifting, and veering, her body stuck onto the car without moving an inch.
Jennie, on the other hand, had come back to her senses. Standing in the same spot, she looked at Vickie with a pale face and cried. “Sister!”
Vickie heard her and shouted back, “Call the cops!”
Jennie immediately acted on it and whipped out her phone to call the police.
The person in the car seemed to have caught a glimpse of her as well. Fluster was written all over his face as it never crossed his mind that Vickie would be this difficult.
He rammed her twice yet she was still not dead. Failing the mission was nothing compared to his sacrifice in vain if the police were to arrive.
Not only would the party concerned refuse to pay up, but his family might also suffer the consequences then.
With that in mind, he was thrown into a panic.
He could not shake Vickie off and if he left the car, he was no match for her either after reading her profile. He was only an ordinary man who was slightly better in driving, unbefitting in comparison to a former assassin.
What should he do?
At that moment when the cards were on the table, he turned his attention to Jennie who was on the phone a short distance away.
With a chilly glint in his eyes, he made a swift decision to turn the car around and thrust towards Jennie.
Vickie immediately caught on the moment he made the turnaround.
With her heart in her mouth, she yelled, “Jennie, watch out!”
However, it was too late.
Jennie was not her. She did not have agile reflexes nor was she skillful in the art of self-defense.
She might have heard Vickie and turned over to see the car flying towards her, but there was no way she could dodge in time.
Vickie was holding onto the hood with all her might to avoid being thrown off. It was hard enough to stay put from being flung, she could not possibly have a third arm to push Jennie away.
So...
“Wham!”
Following an earth-shattering bang, Jennie was hit and sent flying far away.
Vickie’s eyes widened.
Her mind went blank and her ears turned deaf in that instant. She could only watch as that figure jolted to the air before tumbling to a distance in a thump and rolling off. Blood gushed out from under her body.
“Jennie!”
Seeing red, she let out a mournful scream, a roar that burst through her chest and shattered the sky.
The car did not stop.
The driver had the thought to take everyone down as running Jennie over did not seem to be enough. The car was traveling over 120 mph and in a blink of an eye, it dashed onto a nearby bridge in a thud and crashed onto the railings. The car then plunged into the rough river.
Vickie, who had been trying to take control over the car, observed the person’s intention of mutual destruction and quickly let loose of her grip. However, it was too late to break away from the high speed and costly impact.
She, alongside the car, fell into the water.

Half an hour had passed by the time Gregory caught word of the news.
He was not completely at ease after Vickie left. Aware that the Chinese Association would go after her, he made arrangements for Vickie to be followed in secret.
It never occurred to him that the person he sent out would return so soon.
The person walked in the door with a discolored look on his face. He must be anxious as he was still trying to catch his breath.
Gregory’s heart sank. He had a bad feeling about it.
As expected, his subordinate said, “Boss, bad news. There’s been an accident. Miss Thomas... was hit by a car!”
Gregory’s eyes widened.
The pen in his hand snapped in half.
The next second, he got up from behind the table and took large strides out.

The hospital.
There were many witnesses because the accident happened in the city. Hence, someone called the ambulance and police after the car plunged into the river.
The police were quick to arrive. Together on the scene were two other ambulances.
Jennie, who was lying on the roadside, was loaded into the ambulance on a stretcher. Nevertheless, the car came at her head-on and she was hurled seven to eight meters away. With every bone in her body broken and her abdomen caving in from impact, she breathed her last on the spot.
She was beyond rescue. The doctors lifted her into the ambulance only in the spirit of humanitarianism. They could not just have her spread out by the road.
The rest of the people set off into the river to salvage and rescue the fallen car and another person.
By the time Gregory arrived at the scene, they had fished out the car and the driver from the river.
The glass on the car was custom made and could not be smashed from the outside. They came up with many ways before managing to pry open the car door. By then, the driver was already long gone.
His head was slammed against the steering wheel with blood streaming down his face. However, it was quite visible that his death was not from the bump in the head but rather death by poison.
His entire face was presented with an abnormal dark blue hue, even his lips were black. This was an obvious sign of poisoning. Only, there was still a need to investigate further whether he committed suicide or was poisoned by someone else.
As for Vickie, she was yet to be recovered.
The police brought in backup to continue their rescue mission while Gregory stood by the river. With his eyes on the rough waters, his face turned deadly sullen.
