Chapter 59 On the Verge of Breakdown
"It's okay. Eat some more." Being unaffected, Sophie continued to cook breakfast and asked Lucia to wait in the dining room to avoid all the grease flying around the kitchen.
Being concerned by Sophie, Lucia felt even more uncomfortable. Out of guilt, she did not walk away, but insisted on standing at the door and waiting for Sophie.
Sophie saw her like this and did not say anything, and continued the work in her hands. Ten minutes later, two bowls of hot mushroom porridge were ready. Lucia saw the situation and rushed over to help bring the porridge to the dining room table.
"Sophie, haven't you had your breakfast yet?" Lucia asked when she saw that Sophie had cooked her own portion as well.
"Well, let's eat together." Sophie replied as she untied her apron and sat with Lucia, taking the lead in picking up a spoon and starting to have the porridge.
