Chapter 76 Can't Sleep Without Her Next to Him
Louisa didn't sleep a wink that night.
She hadn't had insomnia in a long time, but Flora's situation was suddenly giving her so much anxiety that her sleep had been disrupted.
This was not a good sign. Louisa felt uneasy, fearing she'd revert to the state she was in back then again. Remembering what the doctor had said, she closed her eyes and took in a deep breath, then walked out of the room.
Mornings at the nursing home were livelier than the evenings. All the senior folks here got up early, sometimes even before the crack of dawn, even if it was just to sit outside, as it was the morning dawn that would greet them, not the night.
Having experienced her own share of waiting for dawn to break, Louisa understood how they felt perfectly. When she arrived at the garden, a few senior folks were already sitting there under the dim lamplight, just as expected.
