Luis's POV
The scent of the city has changed. It smells like silence, not like blood or fire. It feels as if something is hidden within the smoke. I've always anticipated this day. I simply never imagined that I would be observing it from a distance.
People believe I ran. Believe that my death was in vain. However, they are unaware of what I left behind.
The truth is unknown to them.
Before I even get to the church vault, the memory strikes. The last time I saw Camila, her face was red with rage and her eyes were burning. "Go," she said.
"Leave before I shoot you."
