Chapter 280

After Sabrina finished puking, her hands were still on the toilet. She had an ominous feeling. Recently, she had been busy with Breeze Plaza and organizing Simon's jewelry exhibition. She was always on her toes and dared not relax. Now that she thought about it, her period was very late. Abigail entered the restroom and saw that Sabrina was spacing out. "What's wrong?" Sabrina panicked. Sitting on the ground, she looked at Abigail pitifully. "Are you pregnant?" Abigail asked in a soft voice. Sabrina shook her head. She wasn't sure, but she had a bad feeling. When she was staying on Windermere Street, she had slept with Nelson several times. There were a few times when Nelson didn't use protection. He didn't use protection in the hotel either. However, she took birth control pills every time. "I'll buy a pregnancy test kit." Sabrina pulled Abigail. "I'll go to the hospital tomorrow." She didn't want to make this matter known to everyone. After all, Cheryl didn't know about her divorce yet. Currently, Cheryl was doing great, and she was living happily. So, Sabrina didn't want these matters to affect Cheryl. "What are you going to do if you're pregnant?" Sabrina had no idea. She was dumbfounded the next day as well when she went to the hospital and the doctor informed her that she had been pregnant for more than two months. She didn't know what to do. How did the situation turn out this way? When Sabrina loved Nelson, he was dismissive of her. Now that she didn't love him, he cared about her. They had already gotten a divorce, but she was pregnant with their child… She believed that she was a problem-solving-oriented person. When an issue arose, she would just think of a way to solve it. But it was the first time she felt lost. The child was a living being. It wasn't a problem. As Sabrina was pregnant, she wasn't in a good state. So, she didn't go to work. She sat on the couch at home and spaced out. When Abigail found out about Sabrina's pregnancy, she was stunned. "How about you discuss this with Nelson?" Abigail asked. She didn't like Nelson because he had always disappointed Sabrina. Nonetheless, the child was a big deal. If Nelson found out Sabrina aborted his child, he might do something. Sabrina didn't respond. "Or you can give birth to the child. I'll raise them with you. No matter what decision you make, I'll support you." Abigail caressed Sabrina's arm comfortingly. She wasn't in the position to give Sabrina advice as it was a huge matter. She could only show her support. "I don't know what I should do," said Sabrina. Ever since her father and brother passed away, she had made many major decisions herself, including the decision to venture into an industry that had nothing to do with art after graduating from a school of arts and getting married to Nelson. She made the decisions, implemented her decisions, improved herself, and carried out trial and error. However, she couldn't make a decision when it came to the child. Abigail had never been pregnant before, let alone give birth to a child. Upon seeing how depressed Sabrina was, she racked her brain. "How about you give Nelson a call? There aren't any deep grudges between you two, right? Now that there's a child, perhaps your marriage will be different." Sabrina's eyes were watery. "What difference can it make?" Although there were no deep grudges between Nelson and Sabrina, he had disappointed her again and again. His actions had erased her love for him. Besides, he was a very divided person. He could help her while doing things she didn't like. It was the same when he helped her acquire a company and resolved the company's issues. Sabrina admitted that Nelson was charming when he was working. She admitted that he respected her. She didn't hate it when he was by her side. But he could only keep up with his good behavior for a few days before showing his true self. He was a businessman, after all. Every sacrifice he made was to obtain a bigger return. At least, she couldn't believe him right now. Could a child really change their marriage? Sabrina wasn't optimistic, but she thought that she should discuss what to do with the child with Nelson. After all, he was the child's father. He had the right to decide if he wanted the child or not. It would be great if he didn't want the child, but if he wanted the child, she would give birth to them and raise them. As for their relationship, even though they were no longer married, they could still be the parents of the child. After pondering for a long while, Sabrina finally decided to give Nelson a call. When the call went through, a voice that didn't belong to Nelson sounded. "Mr. Tucker is busy. Is there anything I can help you with?" Sabrina recognized that it was the voice of Hank Stiller, who was another assistant of Nelson. "When he's no longer busy, tell him to give me a call. I have something important to tell him." "Alright. I'll convey your message to Mr. Tucker as soon as possible." Sabrina thanked him before ending the call. She waited until the afternoon, but Nelson didn't give her a call. At that point, she knew that he wasn't busy. He didn't give her a call on purpose.
