Chapter 271
Sabrina felt numb.
She had been married to Nelson for more than three years, but he had never admitted that she was his wife.
He always claimed that he was her brother.
Now that they had gotten a divorce, he claimed that she was his wife.
Sabrina ended the call and walked out of the office. She then heard the secretaries of the CEO's office discussing Nelson and Sabrina.
They talked about how long Nelson had been in the company and how helpful he was to Sabrina. Nelson and Sabrina worked in the same office as well. It turned out that Nelson was pursuing Sabrina.
The secretaries thought that Nelson and Sabrina were a perfect match.
Sabrina wanted to curse. After all, they had already gotten a divorce.
When she arrived on the first floor, she saw Nelson the moment she walked out of the elevator.
Nelson wore a black T-shirt with long sleeves that was wrinkled and a pair of off-white pants. At first glance, he looked casual with a sense of nobility. As he had been in the hospital for quite some time, his face was a bit pale. His jawline became sharper as well.
Upon seeing Sabrina, he walked over to her confidently with a smile. "Have you gotten off work? I'm here to pick you up."
"What's wrong with you?"
Nelson looked at Sabrina with an innocent expression. "Is there anything wrong with me picking up my wife from work?"
Sabrina said through gritted teeth, "Who's your wife? Come with me."
When they arrived at her office, she said, "Nelson, we've already divorced. We have the divorce certificate."
"Although it's the truth, I really don't remember it, Brina." Nelson placed his hand on his forehead as if he was in distress.
Sabrina was annoyed. If Nelson didn't keep showing up, she would have a peaceful life.
Now, she was furious.
"If you're upset because I said that I'm your husband, I won't say it again. I'll clarify it for you." Nelson pulled her hand. "Please don't be angry."
Sabrina flung his hand away. "Is there a way to clarify it?"
"Don't worry, I can clarify it," responded Nelson with a smile.
Sabrina ignored him and continued to work while he stayed behind and accompanied her.
The next day, Nelson came to the company again. This time, he clarified that he wasn't Sabrina's husband. Instead, he said that he was her future husband and that he was currently pursuing her.
Breeze Group was immediately in an uproar.
To outsiders, Sabrina was the Tucker family's goddaughter. Nelson, who was the third sibling in the Tucker family, fell in love with Sabrina a few days after he returned from overseas.
As Nelson was handsome and Sabrina was beautiful, everyone thought that they were a good match.
"Must you make our relationship known to everyone at this time?"
Nelson was sitting on a couch and reading a book. He raised his head and answered seriously, "I like you a lot right now. I don't think there's anything wrong with letting others know about it."
Sabrina was taken aback. She didn't know what to say.
Nelson was still very fierce when pursuing her.
Even Abigail, who was filming a show in Southerby, found out about Nelson pursuing Sabrina. Abigail couldn't resist giving Sabrina a call and teasing her.
"Ms. Wyatt, isn't this what you want? What happened to Nelson? Why is his brain suddenly working after he got into a car accident?"
"Why are you so nosy? You should focus on yourself."
"I got it. Don't worry."
Because of Frederick's actions, the media outlets in Alvoria wrote articles saying that Abigail was going to marry into the Banks family, which was a wealthy family in Alvoria, when she had just started acting again.
So, Abigail had no choice but to make an announcement saying that she and Frederick fell in love at first sight and were in a relationship.
However, after Frederick brought her to his house and took care of her, she had some thoughts.
If Frederick treated her sincerely and built a home with her, maybe she could be in a serious relationship with him.
"Brina…"
"Huh?"
"If Frederick proposes marriage to me, should I accept it?"
Sabrina was stunned. "W-What do you mean? Will he even propose marriage to you?"
