A Handsome Demonic Man

••• Abigail’s POV ••• Since traveling with Tynan, we had gone to some remote towns, and I used my weak image to get them to drop their guards; then Tynan killed them and raided their belongings. And today was no exception. We had just arrived in a small town, and I needed to find some ‘food’ for him. It was dinner time, and there weren’t many werewolves loitering around. He seemed to always find quiet towns consisting of only one or two small packs where they were used to peace, and no one would think twice about helping strangers. I walked around aimlessly, hoping to find some werewolves so I could eat dinner myself. As I was wandering around the quiet area of the town, I saw a group of werewolves in their late twenties or early thirties in their human forms, both she-wolves and he-wolves, who looked like they had just finished having dinner. I walked past them and pretended to lose my balance. “Ah!” I screamed and fell carefully to the ground. I had mastered pretending to fall without risking my baby's life because this baby was important, and I wouldn’t want to hurt them. “Oh no!” one of the she-wolves shouted, and they all surrounded me. “Are you alright?” the she-wolf asked, and she and another helped me stand up. “I’m fine. Thank you very mu-” I gasped as I hugged my bulging stomach, pretending to feel my pregnant belly hurting. “We need to get her to the hospital!” the group began panicking. “No!” I shook my head and added with a weak smile, “I just need to rest for a bit.” The two she-wolves helped me walk to the nearest bench, and another gave me a bottle of water. “Thank you,” I smiled gratefully at them and drank the water. “You are not from around here, are you?” the first she-wolf asked. I shook my head and lowered my gaze. “Where is your family? Your mate?” The she-wolf looked around as if trying to find my companion. “My...” I purposely choked on the word. “I... I came here because my mate impregnated me but had an affair with someone else.” By the time I had finished speaking, my eyes had become teary, and I looked depressed. “Oh, poor you...” the she-wolves and he-wolves around me started to pity me. “Do you have any place to stay tonight?” a he-wolf asked. I shook my head, still looking down at the ground. “Well... You can stay at our pack tonight,” he offered. “Are... Are you sure? I don't want to impose,” I said softly and twiddled with my dress. “Don’t worry about it. We’ll tell the Alpha and Luna about it. They like to help people from different packs,” the others agreed. I lifted my head, wiped my tears away with the back of my hand, smiled sweetly at them, and thanked them with sincerity, “Thank you so much. This means a lot to me.” “Don’t mention it,” they said, and the two she-wolves held my hands as we walked toward their pack, chit-chatting with each other. Before we reached their pack borders, I felt a sudden, swift movement from my back and heard the cracks of bones breaking. The two she-wolves walked on my sides, and I looked back to see what happened, but they didn't have time to react before Tynan snapped their necks effortlessly. This was our modus of Operandi - I gained the trust of strangers and lured them, and Tynan would appear out of thin air and then kill them. I shrank back to the nearest wall, feeling a wave of nausea as I watched Tynan begin to feast on his food. He came up to me with blood on the corner of his mouth, and I realized that he was actually very handsome - ruggedly handsome, giving the air of a wild yet sexy man, but unfortunately, he was a madman. He then threw me a bag with some normal food in it and then sat down in the corner, being quiet, not saying a word. I began slowly eating the food he had given me and asked, “What are you going to do next?” He glanced at me and smiled his evil smile as he said, “I’m going to find Lina.” I was shocked and nearly dropped the food in my hand. He was... He wasn’t going to hand me over to Mom, was he? As if knowing what was on my mind, he reassured me, “I won’t hand you over to her. I still have a use for you.” “Then why are you going to find her?” I asked as I chewed my food. “To get my medicine to ease the pain,” he replied through clenched jaws. Hearing the strangeness in his tone, I glanced at him and realized that his body was trembling all the time. He seemed to be in a lot of pain... After traveling with him, I realized he didn’t really need to eat his prey’s flesh, but it was their blood he needed. I shifted my attention to the corpses, and as I had anticipated, I saw that the bodies still had their limbs intact, but he only drank a bit of their blood. Looking at Tynan again, I hesitantly asked, “Why did you always kill those people if you were only going to drink a little blood? Couldn't you have just knocked them out?” He looked at me and sneered, “Are you pretending to be kind? Unfortunately, I know you. I don't think you are that kind of person. You are a prisoner, after all.” I was enraged by his mockery and asked him, “Weren’t you pretending to be kind too? You could have eaten the meat but only drank a little blood. Was it not because you feared I would feel sick if I saw it?” He narrowed his eyes at me; his gaze became very cold and scary, and even his aura started to change. He stood up, came towards me, and grabbed me by the chin with force enough to make me scream out in pain. I could only tremble when my gaze locked with his cold one as he looked down at me. “Mind your own fucking business,” he snarled, his fingers exerted more force on my chin. “Don't fucking forget I could always always kill you if it pleases me. Or, perhaps...” He gave me that evil smirk and licked his lip as if he wanted to taste me now before continuing his words, “I will kill you after you give birth. I’m curious to know what the little baby tastes like.” I felt myself going pale from his threat. He was really a Devil! “So, do you remember what you need to do?” he asked, pinched my chin even harder, making me wince in pain. “Y-Yes... I will mind my own business from now on,” I promised him with a trembling voice. He let go of my chin with a push, and I screamed out again as my back hit the bench. “Let’s go,” he ordered and walked away without waiting for me. I glanced at the corpses again, every time wondering if we should hide or bury them to get rid of the evidence, but Tynan didn’t seem to care about leaving evidence, and I couldn’t ask him about it in case he would really kill me and my baby. I stood up and followed him a few steps toward what seemed like a bar. He and I entered the bar through a hidden door, and we climbed through a window into an empty room and then through another window in the empty room. Fortunately, the windows weren’t high up in the walls, and they could easily fit an adult or a pregnant woman to pass through them, or Tynan might kill my baby and make my tummy flat just to get rid of any obstacles and make our movements easier - That was how ruthless he was. Tynan went to another set of windows and peeked through it. I followed him and nearly gasped as we saw a frightening scene in the next room. A burly man appeared in my line of vision, exuding a chilling aura. He was handsome. Nearly as handsome as Alpha Maximillian and King Hayden, who were both considered the most handsome he-wolves in our community right now. Straight nose and jaws as sharp as a knife, but his aura was... bone-chilling. He had a demonic smile, and I could feel his cruelty, terror, and bloodthirstiness from his smile and gaze. “You didn’t do what I told you to,” he told Mom and lifted his hand, curling his fingers around the air. I watched in horror as Mom suddenly grabbed her neck as if being choked and was lifted mid-air by some unknown force. She began struggling, her feet dangling in the air, and began kicking in desperation, and suddenly, I heard the sound of her neck being broken. That was when I realized that that handsome demonic man was the one who had killed Mom without even touching her, smiling demonically as he did so. Tynan was the Devil? No... He couldn’t even compare to this demonic and ruthless man who just killed Mom. The man then looked in our direction as if he had noticed us. I almost screamed in fear as I saw the other half of his face, which was covered in crisscross scars. Tynan covered my mouth and tried to lead me away, but the next second, I felt a powerful force imprison us, and then I was plunged into darkness.
