Chapter 1687 What Sort Of Crap Are You Talking About
Ansel was stunned. He had no idea when had his son became so cruel that he would even propose sending somebody to kill Olympias. He didn’t expect Jehan to go that far.
“Jehan, what the hell are you talking about?” Ansel smashed the book in his hand furiously onto Jehan’s body.
“Dad, it’s the best suggestion after looking at the overall situation,” Jehan said, looking as if he had to go all out. “It is said that ruthlessness is the mark of a truly great man. Right now, everything has reached a tipping point. Don’t you get it?”
“You b*stard! Jehan, she is your cousin!” Ansel yelled as he strode up to Jehan and slapped him across the face. “How dare you say sh*t like this? Aren’t you a little too vicious? In the future, will you kill me off just so you can become the patriarch of the White family?”
Jehan was dumbfounded on the spot. “Dad, I…”
“Get out! Get the f*ck out of here! Go back to your room and lock yourself in it!” Ansel kicked Jehan a few more times. “I’m going to break your legs if I find out you left the room without permission again.”
Jehan finally gave up and left dejectedly. It was obvious that the fight upsetted both father and son a lot.
Benoit walked into the room shortly after Jehan had left.
Ansel’s nerves tightened the moment Benoit walked in, and when his gaze fell on the door, he had a murderous look in his eyes.
“Ansel, it’s me!” Benoit hurriedly stated.
Ansel exhaled a sigh of relief. “Did you hear what Jean just said?” he asked tentatively.
Benoit nodded.
“I hope this is just a joke.” Ansel sighed. “This is all my fault. I’ve spoiled him since he was a child. I wasn’t expecting him to have such a lawless personality. This fellow needs to be disciplined.”
“Ansel, Jean’s idea is indeed a bit extreme. It’s true that it may be a dastardly idea, but I have to say that this is indeed a good opportunity for us,” Benoit said after taking a deep breath.
“What are you talking about?”
Ansel looked at Benoit in disbelief. “Benoit, are you having similar ideas as well?”
Benoit said in a reasonable tone, “If Olympias ends up dying on her journey here, Jules can’t turn the tables around.”
“Stop talking nonsense!” Ansel said coldly. “You saw it yourself before. Ettore is by Ansel’s side all the time! Are you sure you can take Ettore down too?”
“Well…”
“Benoit, it's best not to think about things like this. Blood is thicker than water after all,” Ansel sighed. “I may be domineering and arrogant, but I will not butcher my own brothers and sisters or attack my own relatives!”
Benoit narrowed his eyes and didn’t say another word.

Tyr and the others rode in a Hummer all the way to Fern City at the time.
The vehicle arrived at Fern City at around five o’clock in the afternoon. It was almost dark when it was almost six o’clock due to the season.
The passengers in the car didn’t seem to be conversing much. Ettore sat in the passenger seat, while Tyr, Olympias, and Jules sat in the back row. The vehicle was driven by a driver.
Ettore remained in the same position as before. He closed his eyes and recuperated quietly ever since he got into the car. He didn't say anything the whole way.
As Jules was still concerned about Olympias, he would occasionally inquire about her well-being over the years. He also informed her of events that had occurred in the White family over the years.
Olympias, on the other hand, was clearly uninterested in these matters. She never actively responded to his questions, which made Jules feel a little embarrassed.
Tyr and Jules were the ones who ended up having a good conversation. Tyr didn’t know much about everything in the ancient martial arts world because Regal Palace was new to the world. Jules was the White family's fourth master, so he was well-versed in the matters of the ancient martial arts world.
Tyr took advantage of the opportunity and bombarded Jules with questions about the ancient martial arts world. He even asked Jules a lot of questions about the Second World War in the west.
Tyr mentioned that the ancient martial arts world and the Second World had both withdrawn behind the scenes.
“The seniors of Dragun Squad told me back then that the Celestial Empire’s ancient martial arts world and the Second World in the west had reached an agreement with the official,” Tyr said. “Both communities were going to retire to the hidden world in the end, but in different ways. Is this correct?”
Jules paused and asked, “I wonder which aspect you are referring to?”
“Meddling with the mortal world?”
“Hmm? Are you asking about us meddling in the affairs of the mortal world?” Jules asked, he was slightly startled.
“That’s right. According to Dragun Squad’s seniors, when the ancient martial arts world retreated behind the scenes, you guys retreated very thoroughly,” Tyr explained.
“Before that, many worldly resources were controlled by the major families of ancient martial arts. You guys later returned these resources to the official and the mortal world when you all chose to retreat. Am I right?”
“However, the Second World was hesitant to do so. Many of the Second World’s big shots still control many important foreign economic lifelines and corporate families. Many countries' regimes have already been influenced by their power. Even though they have retired, they still have the financial means to destabilize a country.”
“The disadvantage of this method is that the development of martial arts in the Second World is far behind that of the Celestial Empire's ancient martial arts world.”
“Well, you are only half right,” Jules said.
“Why would you say that?” Tyr was puzzled.
“It was indeed like the way you put it in the beginning,” Jules explained.
“The ancient martial arts world was willing to give up those powers in the mortal world at the time. The most important reason was that everyone served as patriotic residents of the Celestial Empire. The Creeds had been negotiating with the officials for quite some time at that point. Because of this sense of national honor, the Creeds eventually agreed to relinquish our power to the official.”
“Our country was in a total mess, and there were a thousand issues to be resolved. Only with these funds could the government continue to develop the country and achieve the current level of prosperity.”
“At the time, the situation abroad was different, and their thoughts were different as well. In the end, they did not relinquish their rights in the mortal world. However, that was nearly a century ago, and the current layout is no longer the same. At the same time, it is not because of our martial arts accomplishments that make the entire Second World afraid of us.”
“What do you mean?” Tyr suddenly became interested. Even Olympias next to him also turned her head around.
“Just because the Celestial Empire's ancient martial arts world does not intervene in domestic affairs, does not mean we do not intervene in the international affairs of foreign countries.” Jules laughed.
“We are initially obsessed with martial arts, but once our skills have progressed to a certain point, it will revert to its original state. So, the shadow of the ancient martial arts world can be seen throughout the entire Second World abroad.”
