Chapter 321
Across the street from the north gate of the park, the Hong Kong-style café was already buzzing at eight on a weekday morning. Most people were white-collar workers grabbing breakfast to go, so only a few were dining in.
Sebastian Wexler and Celeste Harper sat in a quiet window-side corner. Two tables and a wooden partition separated them from the noisy counter.
Celeste looked a little shaken as she settled into her seat, her face pale and drained of color.
The waiter quickly brought over two steaming cups of milk tea.
"Today's special drinks on the house. Take your time ordering," he said with a smile.
"Thanks, we only need one," Sebastian replied politely. "If possible, could you switch the other one for milk or soy milk?"
The waiter, likely a college kid working part-time, seemed a bit green, with a bright, eager look in his eyes.
"You two should give it a try! Our milk tea’s the real deal—super authentic flavor," he added enthusiastically.
