Two days later, even though she knew Curtis might lose his cool, Delia hit the road anyway! Sure, Curtis was important to her-but so was that other person. She just couldn't back down. Before she left, Delia stocked up like crazy-blankets, shoes, clothes, toothbrushes, body wash, shampoo... basically anything you could possibly think of for daily life, she bought it. Curtis gave her a full-on dark face. What the hell was she planning? He wanted to assign someone to keep her safe, but Delia shut it down real quick. Only Carmina was coming with her-no one else. Right before leaving, Delia tugged Curtis into the bedroom, plopped herself on his lap, and said in her softest voice, "Babe, don't look all grumpy, okay? It breaks my heart. I need some of your magic healing kisses, remember?" Curtis couldn't hold back the smile bubbling up inside. He tapped her forehead lightly. "Be careful out there. Call me if anything happens." Delia nodded, beaming. "Mm-hmm~ got it!" They just sat there, sta
