The space between them was so small, they could literally feel each other's breath.
Delia's heart began to race, and her cheeks were tinged with a soft pink.
Curtis's gaze slowly slid from her eyes to her lips, a growing heat flickering in his eyes.

A knock came from the bedroom door, sharp and clear, followed by Noah's voice: "Mr. Stockton, the person you asked for is here."

Delia blinked, as if suddenly snapped back to reality. Her cheeks were still flushed, her eyes darting away nervously.
That was close. If she had leaned in and kissed him-and someone had walked in?
It wasn't that she minded Noah catching them.
She was more worried she might get carried away and do something really embarrassing.
Curtis cleared his throat, his usual composure slipping back in place.
