After days of relentless rain, mushrooms had sprouted abundantly across the hills, though many had already rotted in the excessive moisture.
As they led Jane to spots where they had previously found morels, Amery couldn’t help but ask curiously, "Jane, can morel mushrooms really be cultivated?"
"Out of all the mushrooms we gather and dry, morels fetch the highest price several hundred dollar per pound! But they’re so rare. Even after a whole year of collecting, we barely have half a pound when dried."
