"Damn who exactly?" Emma narrowed her eyes, then without warning, jabbed her knee hard into his leg. As Gavin's face turned a shade darker, she clapped her hands and backed off a few steps. "You think you can mess with me? Next time I’m carrying scissors. Try anything again and…"
She made a quick, sharp snipping gesture toward his lower half, then coolly turned and headed upstairs.
"Damien, come give me a hand," Gavin called out, a cold sweat beading on his forehead. He lifted his hand toward Damien with some effort.
