Chapter 180

"Yolanda, stop provoking them!" Bryce called out anxiously from behind. He thought if they were calling for a big shot, it was someone Yolanda couldn't handle. It was unwise for her to act tough and anger them further. However, Yolanda ignored Bryce and raised her hand, delivering two more sharp slaps to Isaiah and Lucia. "I'll kill you!" Lucia screamed, completely enraged by Yolanda's defiance. In her fury, she lunged at Yolanda without considering whether she was a match for her. A woman driven by rage is a difficult opponent, especially with Lucia's long nails that could easily leave scars. However, to Yolanda, even a hundred crazed Lucias posed less of a challenge than the opponents she had faced during her time at Talon Academy. Lucia charged at Yolanda but barely had time to raise her hands before Yolanda kicked her away effortlessly. Lucia cried out as she fell to the ground. It took her a while to struggle back to her feet. "Isaiah, call for help! Hurry!" "You… don't get proud!" Isaiah stammered in panic. He quickly pulled out his phone and tried to summon reinforcements. Just then, the sound of an approaching car engine echoed from the intersection. Isaiah and Lucia's eyes lit up. Help was on the way! Their fear and anxiety were quickly replaced by excitement. "The Miller is here. You're done for!" Bryce sneered. "The Miller has significant power in Riverdale's underground scene!" he added. "I've changed my mind. Not only do I want your legs broken, but I also want you dead!" Lucia chimed in. As Lucia and Isaiah shouted excitedly at Yolanda, a group of people marched toward them from the intersection. Bryce heard the commotion and turned pale. If he wasn't mistaken, "the Miller" mentioned by Lucia was likely Daniel Miller, the greatest thug in this area. "Yolanda, you need to run! It'll be too late if you wait any longer!" Bryce rushed in front of Yolanda and tried to pull her away with him. But when he reached out his hand to grab her, he found nothing but air. Yolanda remained rooted in place, showing no signs of panic. "Do you even know who the Miller is? This isn't the time to act tough!" Bryce's voice grew frantic as he realized the danger they were in. Nevertheless, Yolanda stood firm. "Yolanda!" Bryce shouted in frustration. At that moment, he felt a surge of anger toward her for being arrogant and failing to assess the situation properly. Meanwhile, the group finally arrived in front of Yolanda and the others. Daniel had come to clear out troublemakers after being paid for the job. But when he approached and saw Yolanda standing across from Lucia, he froze in fear. If he had known that Lucia was planning to target Yolanda, he would have never taken this job—even if it meant losing money! "The Miller! You're just in time! Kill this bitch!" Lucia was oblivious to Daniel's internal struggle and eagerly awaited his support. However, her expectations were shattered by a swift slap from Daniel that left her stunned. She forgot about the pain as she stared at him blankly. "The Miller? What was this for? Why did you hit me?" Daniel ignored Lucia and walked up to Yolanda with a flattering demeanor. "Ms. Henderson! I truly had no idea! If I had known you were the target here, I wouldn't have accepted this job!"
