Chapter 99: The Partial Shift ZADE The sound of Ollie desperately crying for his father hurt me, in a way that I didn't expect as I watched Xenois collapse on the wet ground behind us.  Even through the rearview mirror, I could see the devastation on his face, the way his body was shaking with each howl that seemed to be echoing round for miles.
