Chapter 173:  A Horror Show

LUMINA   I watched as Lyn carefully examined the small vial Riley had given him, scanning it as he opened it and took a sniff before closing it back as he narrowed his eyes in surprise, worry and concern at the same time.   My  hands were still  shaking as I tried to process everything my son had just revealed to us, probably thinking it was normal.    The clear liquid looked innocent enough, like it was just plain water if someone had no prior knowledge of it, but knowing it was an antidote to torture magic made my stomach churn with revulsion.   "This is incredibly sophisticated," Lyn murmured, holding the vial up to the light, a part of him curious and eager to learn more although he tamed it down because it wasn't the right time.      "The magical signature is complex -- whoever created this knew exactly how the curse functions and designed this specifically to counteract it."   He moved to Zade's bedside and carefully lifted the Alpha's head, helping him drink the entire contents
