Saved the Principle and Met William

"Please wait here. I'll go drive the car." The young assistant left with his arms full of bags, heading for the underground parking lot. Geoffrey, on the other hand, walked away from the mall with his hands clasped behind him. Valentina stepped out of the Bright Hall, a large bag of herbal medicine in hand, ready to hail a taxi to a reserved hotel. To her surprise, a crowd was gathered at the entrance of the nearby mall. She heard someone from the gathering shout, "The man is in trouble!" "Who's elderly is this? Where are his children? How could they let a sick old man go out alone? Can someone call the ambulance, please?" Valentina squeezed through the crowd for a closer look and saw an elderly man collapsed on the ground, his expression reflecting agony. She pushed her way forward. The old man was lying on the floor, limbs stiff, fingers curled like claws, twitching occasionally. His facial muscles were tightening as well, a sign of an impending stroke. "Everyone please step back to allow some fresh air." Valentina calmly laid her things down and knelt next to him. "Miss, what are you doing? If you're not related to this elderly man, you shouldn't be touching him. If anything goes wrong, it could be life-threatening." Valentina ignored the comment and lifted the old man's lower eyelid for inspection. Next, she checked his pulse with her fingertips. "My, this young lady is a doctor!" "Doctors can't be this young. She must be a medical student. Quite courageous to take up professional duties so early on." "From the looks of it, he seems to have a stroke. It's no small matter; my father was paralyzed when he suffered a fall which led to a stroke." After her diagnosis, Valentina took out an acupuncture kit from her bag. The crowd gathered around her initially wanted to stop her from taking reckless actions. But once they saw that Valentina was knowledgeable in medicine, they didn't say more. To their surprise, Valentina then took out a slender silver needle, causing immediate gasps of fear. Just as the needle was about to be inserted into the old man's head, a muscular man, who obviously spent a lot of time at the gym, felt compelled to intervene, "What are you doing?" Valentina easily dodged the man's reaching hand, a chilly glint flashing as the silver needle penetrated into the old man's acupoint. The crowd again gasped in surprise, many stepping back in fear that they would be implicated if something happened to the old man. When the muscular man saw that the needle had been inserted, and Valentina was prepared to continue with the second needle, he tried to stop her again. While Valentina appreciated his activism, she found him to be a nuisance. So when he reached out to grab her again, she skillfully flipped the silver needle and jabbed it between his thumb and index finger. With speed too fast for the crowd to follow, they didn't realize what had happened until they heard the man cry out in pain, his entire arm drooping as if the tendons had been removed. The man screamed in pain clutching his numbed and throbbing arm, his face full of terror, successfully pushing the crowd back even more. "What... What did that girl do to that guy just now?" "This girl doesn’t look like she's messing around, but how can she be so proficient in her craft at such a young age? Acupuncture is not as simple as injecting a needle in the modern medicine." "I saw the bag she was carrying is from the Bright Hall. Could she be a disciple of Franklin?" "I have seen Franklin perform acupuncture, and he does not act casually like her. If she accidentally takes a life, this will turn into a major incident." "Young people are too arrogant and overconfident these days." The crowd buzzed with discussion, pointing at Valentina and commenting critically. After a few moments of conversation, they looked back to realize that the elderly man now had over a dozen needles in his head and arm. With the muscular man yelling in pain beside her, this scenario filled the onlookers with deep concern. Several people shook their heads internally, thinking that this girl was getting herself into big trouble. Nobody noticed that the old man's facial expression had softened until his crooked mouth started to normalize. "Hey, look! His mouth isn't crooked anymore." Following this, the old man's stiff limbs slowly relaxed amidst the astonished gasps of the crowd, he was then able to clench his fists and kick his legs. The severe headache gradually receded and Geoffrey opened his eyes to see a girl focusing intensely on him. "Young lady..." "He's speaking. He's speaking!" The crowd who had initially stepped back swarmed back in. "That girl is really amazing. He seemed like he was about to have a stroke, but after a few needles, he's perfectly fine." One after another, the crowd gave thumbs up to Valentina. A few minutes later, Valentina began to remove the needles, starting from the acupoint on the head. After all the needles were removed, Valentina said to the old man, "Lie down for three more minutes before getting up." She then walked towards the muscular man - who was holding his arm in pain and had yelled until he lost his voice. A few quick movements of her slender silver needle around the man's neck, and he instantly quieted down as if nothing had happened. This spectacle led the crowd to gasp in amazement repeatedly. Their gazes towards her changed from skepticism to astonishment and finally to awe. The young assistant squeezed his way through the crowd. Seeing Geoffrey lying on the ground, he was taken aback and quickly went up to check on him. "Mr. Jefferson." Geoffrey slowly recovered from his excruciating headache. After being helped up by his assistant, he quickly asked his assistant to stop Valentina, who had walked some distance away. Valentina turned around, her face a little cold. "What is it?" Subconsciously, she thought the uninformed assistant was trying to frame her. In the end, Valentina got into Geoffrey's car and arrived at his home. Geoffrey enthusiastically welcomed Valentina into his home. He looked very energetic and not at all like someone who had just had a bout of illness and almost had a stroke. Once home, he ordered the nanny to prepare more dishes. On the way, the assistant had learned about what had happened, yet he did not trust the young Valentina. After serving coffee to Valentina, he started urging Geoffrey to go to the hospital for a checkup. Right now, Geoffrey looked fine, but the assistant feared that problems may arise later. "No need, no need. I know my own body. I'm very well," Geoffrey patted his chest. The assistant continued to nag, but Geoffrey was worried that it would upset Valentina. His face fell, and the assistant successfully kept his mouth shut. Seeing this, Valentina didn't say anything. She took the pen and paper from the table and started writing. Two minutes later, she handed Geoffrey a prescription. "Take this prescription to Bright Hall and ask Franklin to prepare the medicine." After looking over it, Geoffrey asked Valentina, "Young lady, what's your relationship with Franklin? I've never heard that he has a female disciple." Valentina said, "Just a casual friend." "Friend?" Geoffrey's eyes widened in surprise, his volume raising by several notches. He was shocked that Valentina, despite her young age, could identify herself as a friend of Franklin. The young assistant, who hadn't witnessed Valentina's acupuncture skills firsthand, considered her statement to be boastful and began to suspect her of being a fraud. "Alright, thank you so much." Geoffrey neatly contained the prescription he was given. "Young lady, are you a local? You seem quite young. You're still a student, aren't you? What grade are you in? What school do you attend?" "I'm a senior at Mapleville." "You're a senior? To command such medical skills and courage to perform acupuncture at such a tender age is truly commendable." Geoffrey expressed his admiration for Valentina. "Then why have you come to Biddeford? It's not a weekend, is it?" "I came to purchase some things from Franklin," Valentina unveiled the truth. Geoffrey glanced at the big bag of herbal medicine on the table. "The SAT is coming up. Have you decided where you want to study?" Geoffrey's eyes sparkled with intense interest. His gaze was akin to someone eyeing a delicious pastry. "How about Biddeford University's medical faculty? Would you be interested?" Geoffrey inquired. If Geoffrey knew that the girl standing before him was the answerer whom he had asked William to search for, he would certainly regret recruiting for the medical faculty. "As long as you nod, I can call the principal right away." "I appreciate your kindness, but I believe I can get into a university on my own efforts." Valentina's words added a few more points of admiration to her in Geoffrey's eyes. While the two were talking, a black Maybach parked at their front gate. The car door opened, and a black leather shoe stepped onto the ground. The man was dressed in a suit and polished shoes, standing tall and lean with prominent and cool yet enticing features. "Mr. Jefferson, Mr. William has arrived," the young assistant hurried in to inform Geoffrey. Sitting with her back to the door, Valentina slightly raised her eyebrow. William?
